Build a home

The second game of the night involved very homemade graham cracker "houses".

The best home in world-the softball field!

Each senior picked out of the Santa hat names of her teammates that made up her team. They were given one bag of supplies to create a "house".

Kylie, Kristi, Kristy and Carly with the winning "Home". The softball home was complete with a home dugout and bench, stands with fans in them and our trees lining the fence with a flag pole in centerfield.
Alexa, Forbes, Jen and Kaitlyn made the neighborhood with streets, cars, a stoplight, a playground, igloo and more.

Steph, Shades, Lizzy and Kob made a house with a rooftop pool and softball field in the back yard. The kids had been having fun that day and made a snow angel in the snow too.

Blakeney, KP, Ashton and Lonni stuck to traditons and made a true house, with a beedy eyed snowman and snow ball fighting wall.

Hillary, Courtney, Kelsey and Maria made a two story Charleston single row home with an ice skating pond and campfire.

The process involved many laughs and "cement" fixes with frosting. The girls once again demonstrated how creative they can be and each house was quite unique!

Baby to Prom

Do you recognize this baby?
Kaitlyn was the game winner, she knew (or guessed right!) 15 of her teammates baby pictures.
The girls had to look at 20 baby pictures and match them to the 20 prom pictures. Thanks for the help with this fun game parents!!!

Appetizers and Desserts

It is another tradition in CofC softball that the coaches cook the Christmas meal and the team makes the dessert. In recent years we have realized that 10 desserts is probably too many (each girl pairs up with a teammate). We have now split the team into appetizers and desserts with partners.
The girls made FANTASTIC FOOD! Don't let them tell you they can't cook-each dish was delish!
Dinner: Turkey, Ham, Corn, Coach's Potatoes, Stuffing, Green caserole and rolls were on the dinner menu

Ornaments!

The ornaments are a tradition in Cougar softball. Each player makes an ornament and helps Coach Hoerner decorate her tree. This year Amanda Lonergan was voted the winner by her teammates. She made in igloo with penguins on top; each penguin was doing a different student-athlete action (studying, weight lifting, practicing).

Lizzy: Straw snowflake/spiderweb

Forbes: Foam ball snowman

Kelsey: Wrapping paper bow

Hillary: Present to CofC Softball from Santa

KP: Snowflake with really big snowballs stuck in it

Alexa: Paper mache santa with each players' name on the ball body

Shades: popsicle stick santa (four years strong of popsicle stick ornaments!)

Jen: coffee filter angel

Courtney: Cougar Softball snowflake

Kylie: Foamy snowflake

Kristi: Country Kristi (she stole overalls from a Ken doll for the outfit)

G: Lion King/Clown/Elf/Santa cup-a hodge podge of holiday faces really

Kaitlyn: Gum snowflake (she wins $1000 from her sister for making her ornament out of gum)

Maria: Penguin kit that is really a door hanger but hangs on trees too

Kob: Wreath with bells (thanks Lonni for the help)

Blakeney: Snowflake full of each players' name

Steph: Polish snowman who pitches with a Jenny Finch glove

Carly: Snowglobe with Christmas tree (cut from tree in dorm) inside minus the water but including glitter snow and presents
